Architectural thesis presentation is one of the highlights of an undergraduate architectural course. For the last thesis year of the four or five year course in architecture, completion of the final coursework usually entails a semester of research, a semester of production and thesis defense. The production stage usually involves printing of the designed thesis project on 20x30 inch poster papers. These poster papers are mounted on boards for presentation and defense to a panel of jurors. The same procedure is followed in professional practice. In the initial schematic or conceptual design meeting, drawings are printed on poster paper and mounted on boards for presentation to clients. Both instances require the application of graphic designs skills on planning, scaling, drawing, computer or manual rendering, printing and finally mounting the drawings.
